Library Desk Renovation

Alan Harp Design was brought in to bring this family heirloom back to its proper place in the home.  Rescued from the basement after years of use, this impressive library desk is made of quarter-sawn oak and was manufactured in the early 20th Century.  A family piece of the client's family, it was in rough shape, but well worth a restoration.  After some generous work and a fresh coat of finish, this desk has that wonderful glow and shimmer that only quarter-sawn oak can muster.

The photo below shows the condition of the desk at the beginning of the project.  To the right and bottom right illustrate the restored desk ready for many happy years in the client's home.
